Accessing or Transferring Your Prescription
Ask your original clinic to send your medical document directly to Your Choice Medicinal. It can either be emailed to [email protected].
Transfers typically take 1-5 business days.
Once your transferred prescription has been processed and recorded, you will receive an email with a link to get started. This typically takes 1-5 business days.
Please note, if your medical document will expire in 30 days or less, you must acquire a new medical document. You can get a new medical document through the Your Choice Medicinal clinical team.
In most cases, you do not need to inform your insurer about changing your medical cannabis provider. However, since each insurance policy is different, it’s best to contact your provider to confirm whether you need to inform them about changing providers.
Once your prescription has been processed and recorded, you will receive an email with a link to get started. This typically takes 1-3 business days.
You may only get your prescription directly from your licensed medical cannabis provider. Medical cannabis providers are not permitted to have retail locations. If you go into a cannabis store in your neighbourhood, you will be purchasing cannabis outside of your prescription. Please note that any recreational cannabis you purchase is not eligible for coverage by your insurer.
